Galbani Bella Vita Fest returns to Little Italy’s Piazza della Famiglia on Saturday, October 17 (11am-6pm) and Sunday, October 18, 2026 (11am-5pm). Produced by ArtWalk San Diego in celebration of Italian Heritage Month, the free, all-ages festival blends chalk art, Italian wine, food, and music.
More than 40 expert chalk artists line the streets of Little Italy creating large-scale pavement paintings depicting Italian themes, continuing a tradition of street painting (“Madonnari”) that dates to 16th-century Italy. Live Italian music plays throughout the weekend, and the La Cucina Galbani Cooking Stage features demonstrations from Chef Marco Sciortino.
In the Giardino del Vino, Italian winemakers pour tastings of more than 10 wines from different regions of Italy via Vicolo del Vino; 5-taste ($25) and 12-taste ($55) wine tickets can be purchased in advance through the ArtWalk San Diego website. Italian merchants and food vendors round out the festival.
