Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park celebrates Día de los Muertos on Saturday, October 31, 2026, with the historic adobe ranch house dressed in colorful decorations and a traditional ofrenda dedicated to the Carrillo family. The ranch is decorated for the holiday the week before and after the event, and guests are welcome to visit during regular park hours for casual touring.
The celebration itself runs 10am to 2pm with a full schedule of activities: storytelling in the historic hacienda from 10am to noon, face painting from 10am to 1pm, and arts and crafts, community ofrenda visits, and photo ops from 10am to 2pm. Gaby’s Tacos food truck serves food and drink throughout. Live entertainment includes Ballet Folklorico de Tapatio de San Dieguito at 11am and a family-friendly concert by Grupo Bella at 12:30pm.
The historic adobe ranch house itself is open for exploring from 9am to 5pm. Activities may be modified or canceled due to inclement weather.
